Multiple modalities influence my therapeutic approach, but I often take an approach that is rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and client-centered therapy. My practice is dedicated to exploring the intricacies of human behavior and emotions, drawing on these theories to create a supportive and understanding therapeutic environment.
In psychodynamic therapy, we delve into past experiences that may influence your current feelings and behaviors. I will often ask questions about your childhood and early relationships; exploring these dynamics together, I aim to bring insight and resolve underlying conflicts.
Attachment theory guides our understanding of how early relationships shape our patterns of relating throughout life. I emphasize creating a secure therapeutic alliance where you can explore and process these attachment patterns in a safe and non-judgmental space.
Client-centered therapy forms the foundation of my approach, focusing on your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I deeply believe in the healing power of a genuine, empathetic relationship between therapist and client, where you feel truly heard and understood. This warm and safe place is fostered through empathy, compassion, and mutual trust.
I work with adults and teens of all genders and sexual orientations and am committed to creating a safe and affirming space for everyone. Your identity and experiences are respected and valued in our therapeutic work together.
Whether you’re facing specific challenges or seeking personal growth, I’m here to collaborate with you on your journey toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being. Together, we can work towards a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, fostering positive change and lasting emotional health.
I completed my practicums at Concordia University in Irvine and Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach. Through these placements, I gained experience with young adults and teenagers in individual therapy, learning new clinical skills and finding that I had a passion for working with people who are experiencing life changes.
